Our Services
At Johnson & Phillips, we are the leading provider of switchgear, power distribution and other power management solutions in the UK. When you need reliable power, you can count on our team to deliver. It is always better to have planned downtime than unplanned but if its unplanned, we work 24/7 to ensure that there is minimal disruption to your business.
If you require any additional information or require a breakdown of our services, you can call us on 0800 86 00 86 or email us at info@johnsonphillips.co.uk at any time. Below are some of our services that we carry out nationwide and even clients worldwide.
High Voltage Services
Our team are highly experienced with high voltage solutions and are able to work with you and understand your HV requirements. From the design to the build and the ongoing maintenance, we are able to guide you in the right direction.
Our high voltage services in the UK include retrofitting, upgrading, refurbishment, testing, consultancy and much more. We also offer 24 hour emergency HV callouts as part of our service, which ensures you are always up and running when in counts.
We also provide voltage optimisation units that ensures your voltage does not become too high or low. This protects expensive electrical equipment, reduces continuous maintenance as well as many other benefits.
Power Factor Correction
Power factor correction (PFC for short) is the ratio between the true (useful) power kW to the apparent (total) kVA consumed by a complete electrical installation or piece of electrical equipment. In short, its the measure of the efficiency with “1” being the most efficient. If the system is running inefficiently (i.e. 0.8 and below) then there will be wasted electricity. See our analogy below:
Installing one of our power factor correction capacitor devices will improve the power factor quite significantly. This will save you money, reduce reactive power charge, use less energy and free up more capacity.
11kV and 33kV Transformers
Voltage that is between 11kV and 33kV can be found in most substations or power distribution networks and we provide a variety of services with these voltages. These include cabling, transformer servicing, switchgear servicing, fault finding and much more.
With the likes of a 11kV transformer and other high voltage solutions, specialist equipment and a professional service is essential. From cable that is certified to British standards to transformer testing equipment, our team are more than capable.
We are constantly improving our own equipment and are now able to work with 33kV transformers too. Along with our high voltage solutions comes our reputable ongoing maintenance and disaster recovery.
Switchgear Systems
Switchgear is used for the distribution, protection and isolation of circuits and equipment. They combine circuit breakers and electrical disconnect switches to continually monitor the circuits and provide real time data back to the end user.
We are switchgear manufacturers and can create bespoke modular low voltage systems up to 8500A. These include containerised, U/H and standard switchboards. All are manufactured in house and we offer a fast turn around time.
Our team also provide circuit protection for switchgear to provide an entirely comprehensive and flexible service.
Distribution Transformers
Our team are able to provide protection services, power transformer upgrades, facilities, backup and superior quality. Basically, we offer the full package with supplying, installation and maintaining a full range of products for your power distribution network. We even re-engineer used equipment and make full use of existing resource to reduce industrial waste.
All of our applied power services are bespoke to your requirements and all of our team are passionate about power distribution.
Diesel Generators
At Johnson & Phillips, we can also supply diesel generators within the UK and abroad. If you already have a generator, we offer the full package, which include upgrades, installation and efficiency improvements that will save you money and reduce emissions.
